Several Bollywood A-listers like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rishi Kapoor, and others remind people to follow PM Narendra Modi’s Janta Curfew to fight coronavirus
The Indian government is doing its bit to fight the coronavirus pandemic and avoid its further spreading. Only recently, the Prime Minister of India – Narendra Modi – imposed ‘Janta Curfew’ on March 22 i.e., today from 7 am to 9 pm. During the same, no citizen is allowed to leave their houses and gather on the streets or even their societies for that matter. All the people who provide us with the basic essential services have been exempted from Janta Curfew.
This initiative by PM Modi has received thumbs up from a streak of celebrities, who asked their fans to support it. Now, jumping onto the bandwagon are Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rishi Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh among others. Taking to his social media, Salman Khan, in his video message said, "Namaste everyone. How are you all? I am Salman Khan. First of all, I would like to thank everyone right from health professionals to police officials who have dedicated their time to fighting coronavirus. Thank you very very much. I would like to appeal to everyone to take this crisis seriously. Please don't spread fake news. Yeh Zindagi Ka Sawaal Hai. Please do the needful"
Aamir Khan, on the other hand, wrote, “Let's all do ourselves a favour by staying at home tomorrow - Janta Curfew Day - and until such time as things settle down. Let's pray for the safety of all those working day and night to keep the rest of us safe. Love. a.” Deepika Padukone shared Narendra Modi’s video and wrote, “A mature and comforting address by our Honourable Prime Minister!@narendramodi. I pledge to support the #JantaCurfew on Sunday #22ndMarch 7 AM-9 PM and also join in acknowledging the selfless and untiring efforts of our nation’s medical fraternity at 5 PM!”
